Suggested Layover Itineraries

3-Hour Layover (stay airside)

Keep it local: find a seat near your gate, grab a quick bite at a nearby market, and if you have lounge access, settle in for a rest. If you’re in Terminal C, Cask & Larder or a nearby café offers a proper meal without a long walk. Allow 30–45 minutes to return to your gate and clear boarding.

5–6 Hour Layover (short city loop)

If you already cleared U.S. immigration or arrived domestically, take SunRail/LYNX for a short neighborhood loop — for example, ride to nearby Sand Lake Road or Winter Park for a quick meal, then return with at least 90 minutes for security and transfer time. Airport Assist can time your return and manage transit tickets.

8+ Hour Layover (half-day in Orlando)

Ride the intermodal links into downtown Orlando: stroll Lake Eola, grab a coffee, or visit a nearby attraction before heading back. Plan an hour each way for transit and airport security, and start your return roughly three hours before departure to allow for lines and possible delays.
